Made it to camp

Well my friends i made it to camp and just got some nilla corn tossed out.
One of the other hunters ( gun only ) on the lease showed me some pictures of some woppers. I brought the wife and kids since we never got to do our annual summer camp out. Of course they are having a good time runnin around.
Pretty much i hope for this weekend is a little relaxation after all the stress of buying the new place, and some real good times with the family.
If by chance i shoot a deer it will simply be the icing on the cake.

Being that I've seen burn ban signs in 5 counties today in East Texas I'm sure that county has a burn ban too. I need it lifted I got a bunch of old scrap wood at my dads I need to burn.

Not even a light breeze and i have not gotten 10 feet away from it since i started it.
I a tually didnt even think about the burn ban. I guess i better put it out

I had a 4 point in full velvet at 5 yards for an hour, the. A big 6 strolled in. No eye guards and small tines but heavy main beams and about 17" wide. Really thought about shootin him but decided maybe Sunday afternoon might be a better day for that.
Lots of does as well. Sitting in my other setup this afternoon to see whats going on in that location.
