I have a friend who is an Aussie and he lives right around the corner from me.
We had spent that morning at Gander in Corsicana. Well I take him by the house and drop him off, no sooner than getting half way down the road he calls me up.
      "Mate...Get back here now!"
      "What's up?"
"There's a snake in me house, get back here now!"
      "Ok, What color is it?"
      "It's black and red yellow"
      "What?, in that order?"
      " I think so"
" I'll be right back, that could be very dangerous"

I get there and I only see the head from under the door, and I said thank God, he asked me why and I explained to him, and he had some choice words, but I was able to get is out of the house.

      Here he and I are.

I'm just glad I got it out before his kids got home from school.

TPWD verified on FB that it was at Whitney. Seen by park visitors sunning itself on a rock.

Cray? Maybe a little bit. My dad and I have been hunting rattlesnakes for years.

Holy mackerel! Look at the size of the arm on that park ranger...it is as long as the whole body of the other ranger in the back, and his forearm is as large as the other ranger's thigh!!!

I would not want to mess with that ranger. He is huge!!!

That is not a huge snake.

the only problem I see is the snakes head is still attached to the body...

I killed a 6 footer in gatesville several years ago so one 4-5 foot is easily believable for me.

Glad they got the snake before he got a kid.

That is a big snake. It appears that he is directly over the garbage can, and the can is at least 18 in. in diameter. Unless someone who actually used a tape measure on him says otherwise, I am going to go with at least 6 feet.

Fact is it did come from Lake Whitney.
Thats a big mamba jamma snake.

Not really the best way to pick up a big snake if you are planning on keeping it alive. The way it is being carried makes me believe it isnt in that 5-6 foot range people are thinking.
