I found a shed in area 23 like that. The game station guys said they had some 160's come from up north in the base. Too bad its soo dang far away. I was going to hunt it with my son primitive/shotgun area but he wants to stay with the bow.

Some people in west texas would say its close, I've just never headed there since aquilla, whitney, navarro mills, lake waco, richland creek etc. etc. are closer.

23 is a good area, but .... it's also one of the most hunted (along with 115). Getting in can sometimes be a problem. That and newer hunters moving in on your stands. It is a good area though. I've had stands that have been there for three or four years and came back last year to find them vandalize. It is what it is I guess.
