I'd say so. It has just about the same energy as a 30/30 winchester. As long as the shot is within that cartridges reach. Under 200 yards and using supersonic ammo. Yup. That Axis would drop.

Yes it will. I have seen them dropped with a 22-250 and a 223.

Again, it should and will, but shot placement will determine if it does drop it in it's tracks!

I've dropped two, shots were less than 75yrds

If SuperSonics and 100 yds or less yes, but there is much more room for error with a high shoulder shot. No matter where your aiming in the neck, margin for error is still small.
