A change in the calendar brings a change in attitude. When September rolls around, summer's heat seems to be a distant memory as I take to the field with my dad, brother, wife, and kids.
We never really get very many birds as the kids wiggle too much. Killing birds, as strange as it seems, isn't really the point.
It's these days together afield that mean the most. Memories of bag limits come and go but those experiences afield... those memories abide.
