Three pt. down in Decker Prairie

It has been a slow season thus far. When the antler restiction kicked in this year i had decided i would shoot spike if given the opportunity. I have seen several spikes this year but they seemed small to me so i passed. This morning a 3 pt. came out that had over 8 inch antlers so i took the shot. The shot was high and dropped him in his tracks. With a follow up shot he was finished so i have my first deer of the 09 season.
