    Traxxas Stampede body

I recently bought a Stampede, to race with my best friend while camping.

I had a 1966 Ford F-100, back in the late ‘70s... Black and white, like this.

I found a body for the truck, but didn’t pay attention when I ordered it.. it came like this...

Had to buy some Tamiya lexan paint, and curved scissors to cut out the body. Still need to sand the rough edges, but I got the masking done... which wasn’t an easy task.

kae, I have around $300 in this one, only acause I upgraded to the Lipo battery and charger.

Every single part can be replaced or upgraded. Already had to replace a couple parts, they are cheap, and fun to work on.

          And they will haul arse.

Just got done sanding the edges down, gotta wash the dust off, and ready to start painting.

You paint the inside of the body on those don’t you? I have looked at them but know I don’t have the talent to make it turn out!

We have two of them and they are a lot of fun!

Yes sir, paint the inside. The outside has a film that peels off last, to give it a glossy appearance.

The hardest part is masking and following the curves and body lines.

With the rattle cans, no need for airbrush. The red stripes are testors model car paint.

Or, you could paint it a solid color, and not mess with masking.

One more coat of black, then peel the masking off.

                Then, glossy white.

Not pleased with my pin striping, but at 30 mph, you won’t see the crooked line.

Next the travel trailer? That would look cool behind it.
