Default Full Grown East Tx Deer?

Sometimes deer get full grown even in the pines of east Tx. Here are a couple nearing full grown.

Garguy, didn't you have pics of the deer in the last picture before? I could have sworn you posted a picture of a deer with a big "dagger" on one side. I'm thinking it was 2-3 years ago, that deer just reminded me of him.

Good memory and the FIRST deer could be him. If it is, hes 14 this year.

I have pics of the last deer as well.

Besides natural predators a lot of deer live in areas that really don't have a lot of hunters. I can think of where my Dad lives in East Texas its not that many hunters in the area and he backs up to the national forest.

Thanks for sharing. We have one on camera that is 6+ and it's rare to see. I've been after him for a few years but he's smart.

Side note: filled up that feeder in Lovelady today and didn't have to call you. Driving over those ruts brought back bad memories!

I get a lot of 7-10 year olds on camera every year. Just none of them at feeders.

How do you keep the hogs out of the vanilla corn? The deer usually find it first but the next day or two I have found the hogs come in and kill it!

Funny how them big east Texas deer don't want anything to do with a deer feeder. Must be because of all the groceries in the area.

He was a seven point last year and may or may not have had the two big points off the base like this year. He was probably 20 wide last year. He lost width and more of his typical frame this time.

Awsome shots garguy, love some old mature deer. I was figuring the deer around the house would be rubbed out by the end of the month down my way. The big bachelor group I have entertained all summer are getting agitated with each other and haven't seen much in antler improvement in about 4 weeks now.

Any clue on 2014? Width fits, wondering if he was a giant framed 8.
