Good luck to your dad, Steve I'd love to see pics of him holding the "whopper"

I had my 11 year old AMPED UP this weekend when I dropped him off at home. I showed him a few pics off of your "pressured deer" thread and told him that y'all are killing those deer just a short ways down the road from his house. I swear, he probably talked his mommas ears off all night

It didn't help that I showed him a few photos from across Hwy 94 from his house he said he's gonna start hand corning the back yard every morning before he goes to catch the bus, and his Christmas present wish list is a game camera to set up to see what is coming in. I may have to give him that a little early this year and let him go ahead and find out what may be cruising across the road looking for hot mommas in the next few weeks

As always, I enjoy the heck out of your posts

Wind should be right tomorrow evening. the "Whopper" is a big clean ten. 23ish inside with heavy mass. Hes a deer we know well and have passed many times in the past. Not sure how he will score but he is just so flashy with all that width. Every time I see him, Im shocked at how big he looks even after seeing many, many pics of him.

Yeah....Its getting harder every year with dad. Maybe the Good lord will grant us a few more though. If It was just me, this deer would be at the taxidermist right now. The trophy is more than the deer though. Maybe tomorrow

Would old freaky face be considered "unbranched" simply because those are all essentially main beams? I've always been curious on deer like this. No clue how a Gw would interpret it.

Probably just let him live and continue to be a case study. I have a giant on the spot so i will likely sit there a lot this year. If i get lucky and kill him early, maybe hunt a kid after that.

Man that deer is beautiful! Can’t imagine taking a sixteen year old buck, he must be a wily old man.

Serious question, have you ever thought of doing a pod cast?
