I just got into it and bought the Campbells outdoor software from a guy on here and it is simple enough to use and I have made a couple good videos with it thus far... I am sure one day my skills will become better than that program but that is a ways off

Give the Sony Vegas software a look. Lots of tutorials on Youtube.

I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate. I have a Toshiba Sattelite laptop I do all my editing on. Works well.
