I go to Matagorda ar Mitchell's cut. Its directly across from Sargent.

I use Whiting or croakers that I catch in the surf on shrimp.i work my way up the food chain so to speak. I also cast net mullet and catch crabs for bait. You can catch crabs on chicken with a flash light and a net at night just about anywhere on the bay or waterways by the coast. It's a lot of fun.

I use a 5oz spider weight and a 10/0 circle hook for bull reds and shark. I cast the biggest bait that I can. You cant get a big enough bait out there really lol

I bet you will have no prob finding them. I went at the first of November last year and couldn't keep a bait on the water.
