The 62nd Championship of NFAA Archery is starting July 21 and will continue through July 25 in Darrington, Washington.
Over 450 archers from all over the United States will compete for national titles. Twenty of the best Texas archers will compete on one of the most spectacular ranges in the world.
Open ceremonies will commence at 9:00 Monday morning and daily bulletins will be issued by Texas Field Archery Association members that are participating. Among these esteemed archers from Texas includes 2 time worlds field champions, David Hughes and Rhonda Wall.
Even though David has won 13 U.S. National Championships,. at 60 years of age he says he continues to shoot in the Adult Barebow Division in order to continue competing with the younger hero's of archery.
David's achievements are accompanied by several national champions also from Texas.
National champions include Steve Coleman, Eddie McCrary, Rhonda Wall, Eddie and Wanda recently brought home gold medals from Olympics held in Louisville Kentucky, Jackie Taylor, Bubba Bateman,and Michael Braden and his wife Georgianna.
