5 Austin public schools changing names

Here we go. Says they WILL change the names even if public pushes back.

"The cost to change the school names, including signage on buildings, gym floors, marquees and uniforms, is estimated at $322,000, about $77,000 per secondary school and $13,800 for Allan"

I'd wager it ends up costing well over 500k. Any takers on that bet?

Stephen F. Austin saw slavery as a needed resource for the Texas economy.

Guess it's time to rename this racialist town.

How about we go back to being Waterloo?

Its going to cost $299,000 to change one HS in San Antonio. Robert E Lee Hs will become Legacy of Education Excellence or L.E.E. So 500,000 is probably closer then their estimate. Says total cost of changes to mascot, uniforms, etc would be over 1.3 million.

Uhgggg. This is dumb. This coming from one the guys here that is constantly defending my great city from you yahoo's.

Our esteemed Mayor also did not participate in the Veterans day parade because one group may have carried a Confederate flag. It hurt his feelings. He felt bad. It was all very sad.

I do hope there was a crisis counselor on site to help him through the traumatic experience.
