Cowtown Bowmen Club Shoot/Work Party Reminder - Saturday & Sunday, March 28-29, 2015

Alright everyone, it is time for our second of four club shoots. Weather looks like it is going to be absolutely amazing so let's see if we can top our first club shoot attendance number of 113 archers.

Work party to set up shoot will be Saturday am, starting at 7:00am. Once the range is set we can start sending shooters out. Shoot officially starts at 10:00am on Saturday, California start, which means you can start as you arrive, all scorecards have to be turned in by 5:00pm Saturday. Sunday shoot time starts at 8:00am, with all scorecards in by 12:00pm noon, awards to immediately follow.

Keep in mind, if you volunteer to help set up, or take down the shoot, you get to shoot for free. We will also have the hot dog bbq running on the honor system, which has been working out, so we will continue it as long as it continues to fund itself. Also note, the field/3D practice range will be shut down this weekend as we will be having some final dirt work done to the range to prepare for our first field shoot coming up in a short few weeks. Make sure to make your calendars for that one as well, April 11-12, and come out and learn what a field shoot is all about with most of us. :-)

All shoots are open to the public, $10 for members, $15 for non-members, kids 12 and under shoot free. Setup will be @ 7am Saturday am, help set up or tear down Sunday and shoot for free. Shoot starts at 10am on Saturday, can shoot till 5pm, so if you cannot make it out till later in the day, you can still come out and shoot. Sunday shoot starts at 8am, cards in by noon, awards to immediately follow at 1pm. We give 1st and 2nd place medals for each class and all kids 12 and under get a medallion.

Shoot is (30) 3D targets, first (15) known distance, last (15) unknown distance. We will have the ice chests out with water to drink.

We will have hog dogs, chips and drinks on the honor system.

Should be a nice weekend, we'll be out in May for a H qualifier.

I shot it and it was a blast..The weather was perfect,looking forward to the next shoot..
