Last week my wife developed bronchitis and has been pretty sick- in fact we spent 9 fun filled hours at the ER last Saturday because she felt so bad. This morning, while getting ready for work she came stumbling in and wanted to go back to the emergency room. So I took her and ran up to work to let them know that I had my wife in the ER and needed to get up there. While on the way back she texted me and said she tested positive for the flu and insisted that before I came to the hospital to get her that I run by my doctor's office and get tested. Well, we hit the daily double- I tested positive also. They said I was their first positive test of the year...I asked what I won and was told a steroid shot in the butt. Anyway, after today I was on vacation until next Wednesday but instead of heading into the woods I will be nested up at home trying to get well. This just ain't right...

We don't get sick days- I am salaried exempt so I get paid basically whether I am there or not. They talked about Tamiflu but are going to try my on some new medicine that is only taken in one dose instead of a series of stuff. My pharmacy had to order it in and hope to get it tomorrow. And yes, I did get a flu shot. As a diabetic my doctor insists on it. I think I will lay low tomorrow and see how things look, and feel, Friday. It's not that I feel as bad as my wife, but the constant cough and runny nose is about to make me want to dip snuff...
