    Welding table

Needed a new table for the garage and already burned up a cheap chop saw from Harbor Freight so I went and picked up a Evolution saw from Home Depot, this saw cuts way better than the abrasive wheel chop saw.

Ran a couple of 220 circuits to that side of the garage and got rid of the extension cord.

Used 1” angle iron for the slats on the plasma cutting shelf, they are just tacked on the end so as they wear out they can be flipped over.

I had always used an oxygen/acetylene rig for cutting but these plasma cutters make it fun.

Nice job! I also like the wall mount for the bench grinder.

Thanks, I never imagined that the price of steel had gone up this much. Spent around 500$ in material, need to find a cheaper place on the west side of Houston.

I go to Triple S. Not sure how they compare. Was it the top that made it so expensive?

I paid 140$ for a 3X5 piece of 1/4" plate, the rest was on 2" for the legs, 1 1/2" for the frame, 4X8 sheet of expanded metal and some 1" angle iron. This was at Rose's Steel on Pinemont by 290 and 610.

Thanks for the suggestions on the other places, I will check them out for the next project.
