Trail camera with 6v solar panel setup

This is my second camera setup like this. My first setup is with a Moultrie I40 and I used a Stealthcam 12volt battery pak I bought from my brother. It has been up since August with no problems. I used some tips from Tgil's thread for this setup. I bought this enclosure from Home Depot to store the battery and wiring.

I drilled a hole underneath for the clamp connector.

For this setup I used a 6V DC plug from an old toy that I was going to throw out. I split the wires and connected female disconnects to the ends and connected them to the battery.

After all wires are connected from the solar panel, I drilled 4 holes in the front cover of the enclosure to line up with the the holes on the Primos 46 camera. Then I attached camera with 4 bolts.

A pic of it finished.....this setup will be bolted to a 4x4 post which is attached to a t-post at the lease. The solar panel is screwed to the top of the 4x4.

Finally a pic of the camera setup at the feeder. I think I forgot to mention that I used a Primos 46 truthcam for this setup.
Camera has been out for 3 weeks and shows 99%.

For the Moultries I use a small 12 volt gell cell and a solar panel.

                          What does the I 40 use regularly? 6 or 8 1.5v batteries?

                            I-40 uses 6 D size batteries, I think.

I did something similar without the solar, I had it out at the house for a month and battery still showed 100%. I took it to kansas for a good test and it got stolen so I really dont know how it did over several months
