Itís hard to establish the run on LSU. Itís not going to matter if Texas has 2 or 8 running backs.

Texas is already in trouble!

The Texas offense is incredibly banged up right now ahead of their clash against LSU on Saturday:

RB Jordan Whittington: Out 6 weeks
WR Collin Johnson: Day-to-Day
TE Jared Wiley: Doubtful
OL Zach Shackelford: Uncertain
RB Kirk Johnson: Out 6 weeks
RB Daniel Young: Out

Hope for the best!

No offense, but seems like an aggy post.....

Just dial it up and play, whomever wins sets themselves up nicely. Losers aren't any worse for the wear IMO.

Too thin at RB. Do I think their chances decreased losing Whittington, yes...I do. I have never seen a ground game this decimated at the position with loss of personal.

I still have faith in Sam.

I hear you, but why do you think their chances decreased without Whittington? He doesn't even have one college carry. Yes, he's a body but that's about it at this point.

So they don't want Sam to run? That's what makes him good. If he doesn't run, they ain't gonna win anyways......just my opinion

This is silly, yes you want him to run. Do you want over 20 carries? He doesnít need to be the leading ****ing rusher.

Plus side, Ingram should see more than 20.

Iím not for sure what will happen on Saturday, so I just want to know if we decide before or after the game if LSU wants to be there. Iím not sure how that works.

Anyone can pick up the carries that Whittington would have provided.... Johnson, my mom, RLB, etc. He had ZERO NCAA carries.....

Didnít mean to **** in your Cheerios. Ingram staying healthy is necessity. I simply believe in what Whitt could contribute. Get him patched up. Itís not just Whitt though. Theyíre still missing the other 2 RBís. I wasnt singling him out other than he was the last to go down.

Whittington was off to a fairly promising start, but I'm a lot more concerned about Shackleford and Johnson.

Because without bodies it all falls to one guy named Sam. Luckily, Sam was born to be QB1.

Regardless, I believe we throw the stats out the window. The team that wants it more wins.

Hopefully itís the team that took down Georgia in the Sugar.

Oh..... LSU is looking forward to being there. If for some reason they lose "and they won't" it is because they got that arse whipped. Plain and simple.

Shack was fine celebrating with his teammates in the locker room after the game moving around good. Herman, in his press conference today, said they planned on taking him out around halftime if they got up . They did just as they planned.

Collin had a twinge in his hammy. His interview after the game said it was precautionary and he will be ready.

I'm thinking the injury report is some Herman gloom and doom games.. No way either of those guys miss this game....IMO

Without question.

It's the kind of game that will drive recruits and set the tone for the season and beyond. It's why we watch.

Thanks again for my LSU Natty hat. It's cool that we have traveled that path together via this web site. Was that 2003 or 2007 when you gave me that hat?

Pretty even numbers. I think LSU fans forgot LA Tech was within 3 points (21-24) with over 12 min to go in the 4th quarter last year.

2018 LSU vs La. Tech
La Tech
- Passing - 330
- Rushing - 87
LSU
- Passing - 191
- Rushing - 218
Final LSU 38-21

2019 UT vs. La. Tech
La Tech
- Passing - 340
- Rushing - 73
UT
- Passing - 301
- Rushing - 153
Final UT 45-14

For this week, not having Whittington matters because he could provide some relief for Ingram and was a good threat out of the backfield. Ingram put on a lot of "armor" in the off-season and he's ready to carry the load. UT wins a close one Saturday night.
