I expect a competitive game. I really do. At the end of the day I think we give them another scare. Not ready to predict a score and winner. We will be prepared thanks to Jimbo and Elko.

I think it will be close similar to last year. Not really ready to say a score though. Itís going to come down to our o-line being able to keep Mond from getting pressured constantly, establishing a run game, seeing if our secondary can limit sunshineís ability to find open receivers, and our run defense stopping Etienne. My original prediction is A&M ends up 8-4 or 9-3 during the regular season, so we shall see.

Watching a little Texas/LaTech Overdrive and grilling...

Half way through the week!

I forgot about the second LaTech TD coming after the Oassi pick 6 on a BS roughing call which would have been his second pick of the game.

Now that it's quieted down a bit. Can some of y'all stop acting like two year olds? Casey pretty much asked for everyone to stop before he has to shut it down. This is a big week. Let's enjoy it. The LSU fans are being cordial as are the Texas fans. We're excited for the game and would like to talk about it. Texas fans hope they enjoy their time at and around DKR.

Seriously wish theyíd just pluck the ones that canít handle it... well if it does get shut down good luck and may the best team win youíll hear no excuses from me! I donít believe in refs determining outcomes if my team loses from a bad call then shame on us for not putting it further out of reach! Hope for both teams thereís no injuries that affect this game or ones to come!

Speaking of hot.....why does the hot weather team always seem to wilt down the stretch of hot games? I've seen Texas do it and FSU was cramping up as Boise got stronger.

Seems like LSU and UT have had several of these type of recruiting battles over the years.

BATON ROUGE ó Back when Kary Vincent, Jr. was a recruit in the 2017 recruiting class, the Port Arthur (Tex.) Memorial standout defensive back was viewed as one of the most important commits LSU had late in the process.

Five-star outside linebacker K'Lavon Chaisson was down to LSU and Texas and Vincent, much to the dismay of many Longhorn fans, accompanied Chaisson on his official visit to Austin. Fast forward and Chaisson inks with the Tigers.

On Tuesday, the former Under Armour All-American talked more about his recruiting prowess, how things stack up with Texas and the group of defensive backs he signed with now playing a huge role in Saturday's matchup against Texas.

Herman is 3-0 as a Head Coach versus SEC programs, what's to be scared of.

LSU is 3-12 all-time on the road in Top 10 games, the worst mark by any team to have played at least 10 such games. Too bad they have to play Bama on the road every other year. lol

Yes, they have owned Aggie. We're talking Texas here... and Yes there is plenty of sarcasm in this post!

If you are coming on 290 from Houston/east Texas, best breakfast tacos is the green taco shack in Elgin on the south side of 290.

Ask for the Master Blaster. It is not on the menu.

Compared to last seasons game, Clemson will be a better team with Lawrence at QB this year as he improved leaps and bounds last year. I think the emergence of Lawrence also outweighs Clemsonís loss on the DL.

I canít wait to see Jimbos strategy. Try and take away the run, more pass blitz? Two tight end sets? Who knows but I canít wait.

I donít see this as a 3 score game, I see it going to the end.

Iím making gumbo early and parking my rear for these two games.

Take away the run, youíve got two beasts on the outside in Ross and Higgins.

Play soft coverage, youíve got ETN and Dixon, and Sunshine might not be a Michael Vick with his feet but heís no Tom Brady either.

Iím not worried about LB or DL play, but the DBs have me a little scared with the way Mond threw the ball last week.

Personally Iíd eat breakfast at Ciscoís. That may be my spot after our 5am tailgate setup.

He had less than 10 attempts, 8 to be exact for 44 yards and a TD with a 5.5 avg. theyíll lean on him this year.

Underestimating an experienced QB is foolish, regardless of what you used to think of him...these are kids, and kids learn quick.

I think Mond is a hell of a qb and have since I watched his first start. Clemson actually went after him quite a bit in the recruiting trail.

If you go back a read my post, I said that I was worried a out Mond and how he threw the ball last week. And heís got some good wheels on top of that.

Obviously Lawrence has the skin on the wall. This should be one of the best QB matchups of the season.

Why so concerned or confident in a game that does not involve your team?

Have you even mentioned y'alls game against the #1 team in the country? The defending national champs? I think you have zero confidence in your team so you hang on the chance that your beloved SEC west team beats Texas. Take LSU's dong out of the back of your throat.
