Default Big 8 Age/Score

What’s the Green Screens thoughts on this buck.

I’ll post my guesses later. Made a sit this evening to see if I could lay eyes on him and he was the first buck to walk out. Shot him with the Nikon and was really impressed how tall he was in person. He stayed out front for a couple minutes and then ran downwind. Got a whiff of us and bolted. 7:15 he came back out with a good sized bachelor group and showed off some more.

What a beautiful deer. Unique and awesome, the location of his brows are very interesting. The mass look incredible. My guess is in the 160s

He sure is! My wife shot his papa 4 yrs ago. This is at Rick (Gladesgator’s) ranch in Cushing. Yes it’s a HF deer but this place is different. The fact we got to lay eyes on this buck this evening mind boggles me with all the creek bottoms and acreage he has to roam. He was on cam 40-50% of the time and to be the first one out surprised me. Chasing him with a bow is going to be fun!

I’m glad to see some 5+ age guesses. When I first saw the deer I couldn’t get past 4. Yesterday even in person he looked like a really healthy 4 yr old. After looking at pics closer on the Mac I can see minimum 5.

I had this deer at 163”-165” range and believe he may make it to 170”.

Add at least a year to whatever you think they look like right now.

Your buck is a great deer and love the dark colored antlers but this one is out of the 150s, the pics don’t do him justice. The mature bucks on my place weigh between 240-275# pre rut, so that is deceiving too.

If you were holding the op’s buck in your picture the tines would be over your head. This buck is on another level

I doubt it man. Im 6-4 280 lbs in that pic but I agree that the deer is bigger than mine. I just don't see 40+ more inches on that deer.

There isn’t 40+ more inches than yours. More like 20”-25”. Buck I posted will break 160” but I don’t think he will break 170”.

What’s the mass on your buck? I’d guess 28”-30”

Beautiful buck no doubt.

Difference I see is 40”+ mass on the 8 I posted and long main beams.

Mass 40
Spread 15
MB 25-25
G1 8-9
G2 11-11
G3 7-8
Kickers 5

164”

169 as an 8, 175 Gross is what I got. He'll probably break 170 with the 1/8ths added up on score sheet.

Spread 17
Mass 42
Beams 28/28
G1 9.5/8.5
G2 10.5/9.5
G3 7.5/8.5

Extras 6

I’m trying not to think about this deer daily. First solid south wind I have you can bet that I will be in the stand. Have 2 months to prep and get a plan together. Would really like to get a good video out together of this deer whether it take 1 hunt or multiple. I’m looking forward to seeing him after velvet shed.

I don't have the measurement sheet anymore on my buck, but he had around 30-32" of mass. I agree that your deer is much bigger and after looking at the other pics you posted I would definitely put him in the 160s. My earlier comment was to those that have him pushing mid 170s. He's a GREAT deer no matter the score that's for sure.

If that deer weighs 250# then he's going to be all over 170". At first I was thinking a good hill country deer and thinking 150ish, but that does not seem to be the case! I'll follow the pursuit of this bruiser!

He will weigh every bit of 225-250#. 54 days and counting before LIVE thread starts for him! Not that I’m counting the days down or anything.

What a cool deer! Ricks place is awesome. I took my youngest son out there one day in 2017 and we saw a lot of amazing whitetail but we were looking for an axis doe or red deer hind and didn’t see any. Gage still talks about his place to this day.
