I've always been under the impression these are milk goats. I didn't know anyone hunted them.

Actually the Toggenburg, a breed from Switzerland dating back to 1600, has the most pungent flavor milk. Because of that most of the Toggenburg milk is made into cheese. If you want good milk, seek out a Naanen. But the Toggenburg is also a very large goat, around 120 pounds live weight which make it a descent prize. To eat them requires a few thing like....You have to LIKE goat. You have to know how to COOK goat. And last, it is an aquired taste of certain cultures. Keith Johns used to have a few at his old place. Not sure if he has some at his Junction place. But age and shoulder injury has pretty much ended am archery days.

I am married into a Mexican family and have India friends, both cultures enjoying the unique flavor. We would make short order of such a prize. One thing is for sure.....It'd be spicey!!!
