Great harvest Michael! It looked like she was dropping and turning as that arrow entered...not surprising it exited where it did.

Did you find that arrow? that thing must be fast because it seems like the arrow hit the brush past her about a millisecond after it entered behind her shoulder.
          Very nice

Yes. It passed through and was in the brush behind her, as you'd expect.

Did you take a look at the innards to see what you actually cut on the first shot??

Thanks amigo...you & the like who go through all the effort to vid & do it well are amazing. I'm all about taking less crap to the blind.

Nice, Michael. Glad you were able to recover her.

This is one of the more frequent situations I get called to track on. It’s not always intentional, but sometimes the tendency is to aim too far forward on a quartering - away deer. And this is what that looks like:

The arrow never even penetrated the chest cavity.

It created a wound channel inside the shoulder that exited the lower neck.
Because of the huge cutting diameter on the expandable broad head, this was an easy recovery but many are not.

Yep, aim so that the arrow will exit in the middle of the opposite leg. I did this same thing to a buck a few years ago and he survived. Entered about an inch behind the near shoulder, but exited in front of the opposite shoulder.
