    ^^this. The past CEO and founder of Academy use to get his haircut weekly from my moms salon in Katy on Mason across from the distribution center.

      Does anybody really think that Academy and Cabela's are even close to being on the same level. I'll give you Academy and Sports Authority, but they are not a sportsman's store, they are a store for outdoor activities. That's why there's as much golf and exercise equipment as there is fishing gear.

        Since Cabela's has started opening some of there smaller stores I wouldn't think it'd be long before Houston got one, but I also figured they'd have gotten a destination store long ago. So what do I know?

                Since I put BPS on do not shop list, I have limited myself somewhat in store shopping. I do wish they'd open a Cabela's around here somewhere... my personal vote would be Humble/Kingwood/Porter... about as many folks go north as west to do outdoor stuff seems to me...
