F250 Display Screen Question (turn it off)

Does anyone know a quick way to completey turn it off when needed? When backing a trailer in the dark, the light from screen makes makes it nearly impossible to see mirrors.
Surely I can't be the only one with this issue.

You can dim it but it doesn’t shut completely off

Yeah I’d suggest that auto dim mode or if that isn’t enough go in and manually dim it all the way.

If I hit the display button at the bottom left of the display twice on my 2012 F250 it blacks it out completely.

That’s on the larger 8” display screens anyways. Not sure if it works for the smaller displays. I have a 17’ 350.

What year? On my 15 you hit the volume button, it turns the whole screen off.

So get this - I can turn the display off completely. HOWEVER, put it in reverse and the camera screen comes on. It's that light reflecting in the cab that kills me backing a trailer.

Is there a way to turn off the back up camera? It's worthless anyway when a trailer is attached.
