For you guys that like higher proof bourbons, this one is one of my favorites. I actually like it better than Stagg Jr. and 1792 Full Proof.

Right now, this is my favorite Scotch under $100. I have bunkered several Mac Ed. #2s since it is a limited edition and slowly being replaced by Ed, #3, which is not as good in my opinion.

After camping for 3 days with friends we battled turkey 101 vs EC small batch (working mans battle)... unanimous, hands down 101 was “better/preferred”

Just wanted to report back on how much i enjoyed the pour! At 129 proof i was expecting something rough upfront but it was actually really smooth! Great flavor profile and a nice finish! I'll be buying another bottle for sure.

Nice, I got a call from a liquor store today that they had some ETL for me, picked it up today. I've NEVER had a liquor store follow up after leaving my number, was super impressed.

Got two in the bunker now, so I can start hammering my opened bottle!

Nice. I am a big fan of the 4 Roses Single Barrel Private Barrel Picks. Never had the OBSQ recipe, but liked the OESQ bottle I had, which is similar, but with lower rye content.

I haven’t had the cask strength but Red Breast 12 is my favorite Irish I’ve had in a long time and at a good price. I haven’t gotten to try the older whiskeys yet but heard they’re even better

I’m down to the last couple drams of all my good bottles so I haven’t had any in a while till I can restock so I’ve been on a wine kick lately. Not quite the same

It's a good pour for sure! I was fortunate enough to get 1 of 2 bottles on Wednesday from a small store.

Yeah I guess Iím going to have to get back out there and start looking again. I picked up a bottle of John J Bowman single barrel today, but its been a couple of months since Iíve found anything decent. I got tired of seeing $75 bottles of Eagle Rare...

Default The official Whiskey (bourbon) thread.

I grabbed this for my airbnb in Tampa last week and ended up throwing it in the luggage. Didnít think much of a $20 bottle but what a nice surprise! I hope I can find it here and if I do, it will replace Buffalo Trace as my ďhouseĒ bourbon.

Yea I prefer higher proofs. So far bookers which is 129 proof is my favorite and it doesn't need ice or water but adding a cube does open up the flavor profile.

This is officially ďMY DRINKĒ.... Iíve been experimenting with combinations for months now and have settled on this duo. A shot of Gentleman Jack in the bottom of a cold beer glass and topped off with a bottle of Shiner Premium. A twist on the old Boilermaker, but sipped and not chugged. BlueMoon also makes a good companion the same way with GJ or Weller. Before you comment, TRY IT, and then let me know what you think.

As I’ve stated before I hate “rye” whiskey.... but to try and salvage this bottle of High West double rye I’ve had it setting after opening about a month now ( nothing drinkable last 2 weeks with me )

So after sitting a month a gave it one more open minded try. It’s not drinkable lol, it’s not. It’s absolutely $&@% in a bottle. I can’t believe y’all really like it, I feel like I’m on a hidden camera show when I drink it

To each their own

There is a drink at Eight Row Flint called Cash over Ice. They use an IPA, bitters, bourbon and something else. It's GOOD!! I will have to give it a try!

Yes sir.. my buddy Mason is a Vizsla! He's a pretty dang good dog most of the time! We'd just finished running in the heat before that picture. He was zapped after that.
