Has anyone had any success or complaints with the thermacell mosquito repellants? I've been wanting to get one but have wondered if the deer can pick them up at all? Let me know

Mesquite, do you know the Benton's in Faltonia???? They are my cousins.

I have found it to be effective on mosquitos but not so effective on gnats! No odor or detection from deer though as near as I can tell.

No problems here, I had a deer at my feet while in the stand with the unit turned on and she never smelled it. Go buy one!!

They don't work on gnats?!
They are just as bad as skeeters, esp. when you inhale them up your nose.

Walmart is carrying them in my camping section. Refills, too.

There are 3 cases of west nile virus here so it would be smart to invest in one. I work with one of the guys that has it. That is some scary stuff.

I bought mine at Academy in the camping section. I'm gonna try it out this weekend. I've got a 180 class 10 with one kicker i'm tryin to hide from. ill let yall know how it works.
