    Opening Weekend

    Opening Weekend

    Here I sit all in a huff.
    Trying to hunt, but the hunting is tough.

    I see some doe, but here comes a cough.
    One burst of it, and now they are off.

    I'm back after noon hoping for better,
    but the cough is still here, and it's ruffling my feathers.

    I sit here till dark, which came way to soon.
    For all of my efforts, I see nothing but COONS !!!!!!!!!!

    Here I sit, morn of second day.
    Still coughing my head off, browsing Ebay !!!!!!!!!!

    I'm drinking down drugs to suppress these blasts.
    If they do their job I'll be out there real fast !!!!!!!!!!

    ```````````````
    Happy Hunting !!!!!!!!!!
    Good one Rick.
    Hope you kick off that cough real soon.
      Between the musenex & robotusin dm it's kinda subsiding. Pretty sure I'm going back out this afternoon, but I'm taking the robitusin with me. It makes me kinda drowsy, but I'm hunting from the ground, so I'll be ok.
        I just snorted about a cup of salt water up each nostril.
        Once the pain subsides, I do believe I will feel much better.
            Well, I still had the cough, but not as bad, so I went out anyway.
            Didn't see any deer or pigs, but I shot a big male bobcat. Shot him standing straight away right in the gonads & the arrow came out his throat skipping on the ground.
            He still made it about 35 yards & into a thorn thicket twice the size of my house. The string tracker led me right to him, but after about 15 minutes of chopping in those thorns trying to get to him I decided it wasn't worth it.
            Sorry no pics. I could just barely see him in the thicket. Tried to take some pictures, but he just would show in them.
              I am envisioning a full body mount that doesn't require stitching the entry/exit holes...
                Get a cough silencer! I've owned 1 for 10 years and found out opening morning it does in fact work....I had a coughing fit with 4 doe at my feeder 15 paces away....they never heard me....amazing!
                    Hadn't seen them on store shelves in a long time...after 25 years of welding I cough constantly..... I can't hunt without it. It proved it does indeed work!
