I just lost my Chocolate Lab. An absolute great dog. My family and I loved her very much. Her name was Lily.
I say name her Lily.

I usually wait until I've had them a week, and find they name themselves. My first female dog was Checkers (always checking things out) and my second is Cricket.

Cricket chose her name. Not my first choice, but after a week of trying other names, someone suggested Cricket, so I asked her while she was playing. As soon as I said Cricket, she stopped to look at me and turn her head. I said to her "really? you like Cricket??" and then she went back to playing. A few minutes later, she was doing something puppy-wrong, so I said "Cricket! No!" and she stopped and cowered like she knew she should stop. So Cricket it is. Within a week, she would come across 60 yards of field to her name, and work her way through a crowd like a running back to come to it.

So I would say, let her find a name. She'll let you know.
