I need serious advice, trying to not get scammed

I am starting to try to sell a Saturn Sky, that I bought as an ivestment.

    I posted it on Craigslist-Beaumont.

The only replies I had was from other states, New Jersey, Virginia, Connecticut.(all by texting)

Instead of starting with Hi, I'm so and so, can we discuss the vehicle, the common theme was do you take PayPAl and I will send pick-up service to get vehicle, with the papers to sign after payment goes through....

There were several other weird items, such as one communication texting number changing the last digit 3 times during 3 texts, plus I could not reply it, I had to send an email, which changed twice during the texts......

One fellow was an enlisted marine at Quantico,Virginia and could not use cell phone but could email all day long

Does this sound like someone trying to scam me out of a vehicle?

So, do people sell cars using paypal? Is it advisable or is there a better way to do it? There is a significant cost of almost 3%.

Would it be better to use Ebay?

Thanks for the advice. I can not afford to risk losing the investment.

Ftf only and bring someone with you when you meet them. Never have them come to your home. Its dangerous these days.

Make your email anonymous. If they are serious, they will call you. Only respond to local calls. No texts. Cash only. In person. I buy and sell on Craigslist regularly. No problems.
