Headed to Gatlinburg, TN

So I post a thread last month or so about the wife and I taking a "babymoon", well we finally got everything figured out and are heading to Gatlinburg, TN. We are staying in a cabin in the Smokey Mountain National Forest for 4 days and 3 nights. Looked at the weather and it is suppose to be super nice but it is still to far out to tell 100%.

That being said, besides cuddling up next to the fire and enjoying nature, what does the Green Screen suggest for things to do? We (She), plan on shopping in the town and taking in some local food, but other than that everything is open. So what does everyone say?

LOVE Gatlinburg. My Dad was born just over the mountains in NC. Lots of shopping into town but definitely do the "Artist Loop" as well. I seem to remember a pretty good steak house just outside of town on the lower end. The aquarium is pretty cool to walk through as well.

Sevierville is a short drive away (Dollywood) with more shopping, etc.

If your up to an hour drive through the parkway, you could head over to Cherokee, NC. Part of the Cherokee Reservation with very cool shows on Cherokee Indians, shops, Casino if that's your thing.

Also lots of trails to go walkabout if that's your thing as well.

The Ripley’s Aquarium was awesome & the Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede show was fun. The absolute best show was the - The Mentalist- Bill Gladwell. It was in the space needle. We also took a Christmas light tour at night.

Go to Cades Cove, be there early.... Bear, deer etc running around. Nice old building, church etc..
