We made a trip out to the lease this past Tuesday for a quick evening hunt. Dad was very excited to get out and do some hunting.
We parked up on top after I tail gate fed down in the draw. It's a neat spot, where you can see a big area from the truck.
The first buck in was a young 8pt with a busted off brow....
We spent the next few minutes watching the pasture come alive. It was pretty neat listening to my dad give the play by play with every deer that we saw(I was setting next to him. Lol)
I could tell that he was getting more and more excited with every new deer that came in.
He was sick last week and still had a pretty bad cough...Not a 100% over it yet.
I could see this buck working his way in to the area and told dad to get ready...I'm really not sure who had buck fever more, me or him. Lol
The buck was now on the road and dad didn't waste anytime dropping the hammer. Neck shot....DRT.
I wish I could have got better LDP's but he wasn't feeling well and it was cold.

It sure was good to get the Stic knife bloody in 2014...
