Im wondering if there is more concern over McCann's knee than they are saying publicly. Maldonado is great behind the dish but he isnt any better offensively than all 3 catchers on the roster. Luhnow is wanting that veteran presence behind the plate this fall if McMann cant go.

man Luhnow is having a rough trade deadline. most of the good relievers that were available have gone to other contenders. he needs to find some magic again.

The magic you speak of didn't require our top prospects. Not worth it for a rental to give up top prospects when your pen is ranked 2nd in MLB
