    sons NM antelope

i did some tractor trading with a guy in NM and ended up with two antelope tags for my boys. my oldest son is a bow hunter but he took this guy with a rifle i built him a couple of years ago. its a trued and lightened 700 in .308 with a pac-nor barrel and pillar bedded in a boyds. both boys shot their antelope with a 125gr speer tnt at 3000fps. this one was shot at a little over 340yds after we belly crawled a couple of hundred to get into position. the tnt does an outstanding job at that velocity. the goat is a good one (my son is a BIG kid. 6'9").

Congrats to your boy! Does the guy you traded do a lot of Antelope hunts? I really want to get out there after a speed goat.

he generally sells his permits but he gets $1500 for them. add to that the $300 hunting license....
