    On the bright side...

R’s kept the Senate and picked up seats in the house. Makes it very difficult to to push the lib/socialist agenda.

The Senate and House races haven’t been completely decided yet, have they?

The markets are reacting to it being decided. They wanted gridlock and apparently they believe that is exactly what is going to happen. The Repubs will keep the Senate and the Libs will keep the House. Doesnt really matter who sits in the White House to Wall Street.

          EO

With R's running the senate it will be very hard for Biden or Harris to do anything except legislate through executive order. I've been saying for years that the republicans should have gutted it when they controlled all 3 branches. Too late now with Dems running the house. I wonder if Trump could use the executive order to gut the executive order? I doubt it but worth considering.

Better hope R's have more than 52. Murkowski and Collins can't be depended on. Independents usually vote D. You know who gets to decide ties!

Back then R's were completely gutless.

Didn't think about that. Like someone else stated about the market preferring deadlock, I too prefer it. That way they can't spend our money. Heck, even the R's showed how much they like doing that right after Trump took office.

Yes, there's probably 2X as much legislation as we probably need.
I believe legislation should require 75% aye votes to pass.
If that many people agree on it, it's probably good for the country.
A simple majority vote leaves too much to partisan passage and just good for that party.

BTW, I forgot Romney and Alexander. them along with Murkowski and Collins and there really is no Senate resistance to the Demonrat control.
