Copper heads and snakes out still

I had my buddy cutting some brush to set up a new ground blind over looking hay pasture while inwas at truck 50 ft away i hear him say come here now well he had been working grabbing and moving brush with his hands for 10 mins or so he looked under some debris and old dead brush and there was the biggest copperhead I've seen curled up waiting. 2 shots with the 380 and a wack with the machete he was done, Be care full out there.

Would have made a great hatband if you had been more expeditious with your shot placement. Bet you were screaming like a girl!!!

They don't go to sleep till the weather hits sub 40. Then they are just sluggish. And will crawl out the first warm day to sun. I've caught them in Dec before.

About the hat band...who needs a everyday rattler hat band (insert sarcasm). Here's mine.

Yea I'm glad he didn't get bit well needless to say we didn't put my pop up blind in that spot. Way too brushy and 1 snake means possibly another in that area.
