2017 San Angelo area season thread

Had a great long weekend so far chasing archery Toms with TBHer ClayW and his Dad, PoPo. They both got great birds. Good times.

Good birds, we had a late arrival last night and late start this am. Birds don't seem to be as active as they were 3-4 weeks ago

Couldn't find some of the sheds off of the bigger bucks I have but found a few this season sofar. Not sure how much harder we will look from now on into the Summer so the shed gods may get to keep them again like most years. I personally have never had much luck finding sheds from the deer I want them from for some reason. I can kill them though. Lol

Found the rack of the old wide 8 today aka "High Rack's" running buddy.

We had a lot of history with this buck. I first noticed him in 2013.

He's a little over 20" inside and right at 130".




And a couple very small sheds by the feeder. Lol.

Cool find Brandon. Hate someone didn't get to take him though. It seems like the small bucks are always the ones to drop in easy spots near feeders. It can't ever be the big boys, they like to hide them. Lol
