Dang its hot!!!

Not much to brag about this weekend. Pigs came in too early to shoot Saturday. Took reinforcements that night and they didnt show at all.

This morning young bucks sparring at 12 yards was cool.


Think ill work till Wednesday or Thursday and spend the rest of the week huntin. Suppose to be high in mid 80s

I have to leave for Oklahoma for two weeks of work tonight and the cool weather is finally here.
That’s about right!
It’s gonna be low 40’s up there.

Got two big oat patches planted yesterday and plenty of rain last night though, hurry up next two weeks.

That may be perfect timing Hix. Oats should be up good in 2 weeks... Did you mix in any rye with the oats...

Planted two spots on Sunday with a some pre-mixed bags from the feed store that had Wheat, Oats, Elbon Rye, Ryegrass, Austrian Winter Peas, Clover. We got a little shower right before planting then another good rain that evening and one yesterday. Should be coming up good by the rifle opener, hopefully the feeders and acorns have the pigs distracted enough to let the plots get established.

The bucks don't have food on their mind they are off running and does are scared to come in. I think it is on but makes it harder to hunt.
