It serves the same purpose as all of these people that live on a concrete road but drive a HD 3/4 4X4 lifted truck with light bars everywhere...............It just makes them feel better about themselves..........
I used to throw one on the truck when feeding. Now just ring it a couple times and they come running. (truck horn or a bucket of cubes/rocks does the same) Also useful in calling cows when a few get through a fence.
Theres a lot of hating going on. Maybe the guys a rancher. BUT If I saw it on a clean truck with aforementioned lift/light bars, I too would attribute it to do****baggedness Lol
Honestly, I don't know for sure and I think its pretty dumb (unless its functional). But I've always thought it was supposed to be like the bell on the bottom of a bull (riders) rope.
[QUOTE=WCB;13405833]I think it's funny that what someone else does matters to so many...:rolleyes
Weird isn’t it? It’s contagious though. I used to not care at all how people used their mirrors. Now I get mad every time I see a dodge with ghost trailer mirrors.
