I'm just ready for this heat to give us a slight break, football, and bbq. I don't care who is playing, I'm just sick of summertime TV.

What is up with the Javon Sheppard tweet? "My recruitment is still open" - JS
My prediction is he will de-commit at least once only to stick with Texas in the end. He loves him some attention.

Of note, we will find out real soon if Leon can back it up. Speaking of Leon, he says we got another big time recruit committing to Jimbo this week. Stay tuned!

They only took 22 last cycle so you know they have at least 27 spots counting back and not including EE's from last cycle. They've got room for a big class. Still have at least 4 open spots. Unless, the roller coaster comes clean off the track, I doubt there is much decommitting with the new staff just getting started. If kids are dying to get in, maybe they can grab some gray shirts.

I think anyone who is following this recruitment knows it will go all the way to NSD. He is a big time need, so hopefully he sticks.

Hope so. The only plus O supposedly had was being a lock down recruiter and he just lost the best rb in the country from his back yard to Jawga this week. Several others from Amite HS just outside of BR are leaning to Bama hard right now. He hasn't locked Louisiana esp. the BR area down anymore than Les did and he's not 1/4 of the coach Les was. It won't end well with O. While I think this years team is better than last years I believe they will have a worse record. The schedule is brutal.

I have to admit I didn't know what the Meyer posts were talking about. I had to go look it up.

How could he even think that would not come to light? And nobody outside of Ohio is going to believe the "I had no idea" argument. How did that work out for Briles?

My question is, why did he lie about knowing? Just come out and say he knew and no charges were filed so he couldn’t rightfully fire him (I don’t agree with that but that’s the stance he shoulda took)

It’ll be interesting to see what Ohio State does, a lot of the fans on Twitter are defending him saying it’s BS and that he’s not going anywhere and that even if it’s true there’s no reason to fire him

Listening to the Meyer story coming back from Rotary and if what is being said is true ( texts, pictures, altered police report etc) Then there is going to be several people fired including Meyer.

Of course the fans are defending him and saying don't fire him, they don't want to see Urban (#2 coach IMO behind Saban) fired, they want to win NC's, and this will get in the way of that.

If it was Michigan's head coach, they'd be saying he should be Fired ASAP or TODAY!

Which top-10 team is most likely to end the season unranked?

Adelson: Auburn. Stidham returns but there are questions up front as the Tigers have to rebuild their offensive line, and injuries at receiver have placed an emphasis on creating more depth. While the defensive line should be strong again, the secondary remains an unknown.

Aschoff: There's a chance that Auburn fans could spend yet another year complaining about Gus Malzahn -- especially after that sweet, sweet contract extension he just got. This Auburn team is really talented on both sides of the ball, but game against Washington, Mississippi State, Georgia and Alabama are all away from the Plains. Auburn has burned me in the past (hello, 2015), so when expectations are high, set the bar low.

Low: Auburn. The defensive line should be one of the best in the country, and Stidham should be much more comfortable in his second season on the Plains. The problem is the schedule. The Tigers have to face three preseason top-5 teams (Alabama, Georgia and Washington) away from home, not to mention No. 17 Mississippi State on the road.

Rittenberg: Auburn. There wasn't an obvious choice, but the loser of the Auburn-Washington season opener could be in trouble. All four Auburn losses in 2017 took place away from Jordan-Hare Stadium, and the Tigers must travel to face Washington, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Georgia and Alabama this fall. This isn't a particularly deep offense outside of Stidham. While I love the defense, especially the front four, the Tigers figure to be in a lot of toss-up games.

Trotter: Not to pick on Auburn, but the Tigers probably have the most difficult schedule of any top-10 team, enhancing their chances of finishing the year unranked. Auburn plays No. 5 Washington in Atlanta, then has to go on the road to face No. 17 Mississippi State, No. 4 Georgia and No. 1 Alabama. Despite concerns along the offensive line, Auburn could be stout -- and yet, still finish with four or five losses because of the schedule.

Clark: Screw these ESPN morons.
I'm upset and it hasn't even started.
