    Got a QAD, Now what?

So after having several different rests and really not completely satisfied with anything thus far, I bought in and just installed a QAD, yeah I know 3 days left and here I sit in the new year putting on a new rest. Well my tags are as full as they are going to get, and I'm trying to do some up grades. In the morning I will put a few arrows out there, but hopefully some one will read this between now and then. Are there any known issues or sub steps in the installation I should be aware of? Everything "APPEARS" to be working as it should, but never really was a drop away fan. Any trouble shooting hints are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

I had mine served by a specialist just cause I have a history of screwing stuff up. Mine works perfect and I'm shooting way more accurate since I switched from other rests

After shooting some today, 41 degrees with a 5-10 mph North wind, I have my broadheads tuned to 30 yards. They may work fine further out, but that's as far as I pushed them today. Field points out to 50. I was more then surprised about how easy the rest went on and fine tuned. My current set-up is a G5 Quest Rogue, obviously the QAD Ultralight, 6 pin sight, GT XT Hunters in APG, and NAP 100 grain Thunderheads. I have shot the Slick Trick and think it's okay, but the Thunderhead has always left a good blood trail and no sense in fixing something that aint broke. The QAD seems to have really cleaned up the flight a little more. May have to find some porkies to practice on for the next several months.

        Thanks,

Tie it in deep to reduce the likelihood of fletching contact.

Got it, thanks. I have a bracket on my cable slide that has a hole for the line, I used it for the trophy taker I had, but did not for the QAD. I used the bracket they supplied. It would reduce some of the extra line and clean it up a little to use the bracket, anyone tried running the line through there instead?

After a few brief shooting sessions I am liking it more then any other rest I have tried. I am a little OCD about arrow flight so it seems I have to tinker with most rests for weeks before I finally say, well that's as good as it gets, but man this one is already good to go.
Not wild about the bus cable clamp, but without a bow press I cannot tie in the tug line. That was what I had asked about, was using the cable slide set screw instead of the clamp. At any rate, I believe this one is a winner.

Yep by they are good rests. I see no reason for me to try anything else.

Not that I ever intend on trying this range on live game, (it's just not my thing), but it sure is fun to know your equipment is on. I shot my broadheads out to 60 yards this afternoon and had bullseye arrow flight, field point or BH it did not matter. I am in Agree-ance with the above statement.

Sounds like you're dialed in. And yea. I have my 20,30,40 maybe 40 on a deer but the other pins are for fun and incase I see a hog or yote longer distance. Why not right.
