Good luck!! Wish I was goin'! I'll be following this thread expectin' to see lots of pics! Best trip I ever had was when I took my son with the group for his High School Graduation gift from dad... I've got a 1 hour video of just fights with big red fish and my son doing battle with them... He was wore smooth out. Most were too big to keep, but about every 4th or 5th fish was a slot red or BIG trout... just enough to keep us in that spot... along the spoil banks of the old ship channel East of Breton.

Ok...this thread has me interested. I have fished Venice several times, but this sounds like a whole different experience.

I will admit that this part makes me a tad bit nervous.

We started fishing Venice in 2002. If the Islander would not have sank, we may still be going out of there. Moved to Hackberry for a few years after that and finally settled on the Southern Way ouf of Gulf Port for the last 3 years. There are several boats that run out of that area and I've never heard a bad thing about any of them. The captains and the deck hands are first class and take care of everything. All you have to do is show up and they take care of the rest. Definitely worth putting a group of guys together and making it an annual trip.

I dug up a few pictures from 2002-2005. Some are little rough being that they were taken with disposable waterproofs

GJ, I think maybe you and I should go to the cabin in a few weeks and just leave the Stolle's at home.

They're getting in may to much good fishing.
