Been waiting for a beautiful south wind. I'm 35' up in a pine in my climber over looking a pipeline right of way (mowed 2 weeks ago). I've got a 100 acre stand of pines & thick brushy swampy woods behind me bordering a highway. The deer bed up in that pine tract & cross this right of way to eat & rut. I've got pictures of some does & a few bucks. Looking for one in particular. He is the first known deer with a G5 on the place so naturally that is his name. I've got mostly nocturnal photos of him but do have 1 early morning shot of him cruising thru here. I tried to hunt here once before but things weren't going right, so I backed out. He's that 'special' of a buck for our lease. Wish me luck!!!

No deer yet. 1 Squirrel about 20 minutes ago.
Just got a text from another hunter on the property saying a buck just showed up where he is so at least they are moving.

Pretty boring here. Sorry there is nothing to report. When I stand up, I can see quite a ways & do not even see deer in the fields.
The other hunter says he's got 2 does & a fawn. Don't know if I can hang past 10 without seeing anything. Maybe 10:30Comment
