Found a car in my woods today!!

That’s what I love about East Tx, after 12 years of owning my place, I am still finding cool things in the woods. I thought I walked most of the land, but never went into this area very thick with yaupon near my hardwoods. I was scouting my place for acorns....I found those as well!!! Anyone know what this vehicle might have been?

Man, I read that title and instantly thought of my brother.
He " found " several cars in the woods back in the 80's
He typically had a hand in placing them there.

I think you have found an old ford truck. Lot 9f old mills in those woods...from my understanding

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s still on blocks under all those leaves.

Right! My place was a farm (not just plantation) and it was in same family for 100 years. It seems the old pastures/fields are incredibly thick with yaupon and hardwoods that grew along old fence-lines. I had some thickets hydro mulched earlier this year. The mulching gave me some better access into woods that otherwise were not joyous to explore.

East Texas, huh? Look closely and I’m sure you’ll find a spotlight near by.

I am going to look at it in better detail next time I am in the woods. Humidity was killing me today. Old ford truck? Cool

                  It’s fairly well picked clean.

That may be an old moonshine tank in the last picture.

Love to see more pics. From the detached headlight and external sloped fender, I'd say early to mid 30's vintage. Hard to tell without looking at frame length and width to see if a car or truck. Narrow front of the cowl and body is more like a 1930-34 Ford or Dodge truck, but the vent on cowl has me at a loss. They didn't show up for a few more years.
