Default Valentines Menu?

Since we have had kids we use the opportunity to have a nice dinner at home with the kids. They love it and the wife and I enjoy sitting down for a meal with them. These days we are spending 4-5 nights a week at baseball and softball and we are usually eating on the go or at different times. Tomorrows menu is as follows:

Grilled Caesar Salad
Boiled Shrimp
2 Monster Bone In Ribeye
Cheesy Potatoes
Green Beans

Probably a bottle or so of Silver Oak.

Ribeyes over mesquite fire, keto zuccini muffins, deer lease grilled veggies with a stick of Falfurrious butter, unsweetened ice tea.

Not sure what my wife will have.

I told Tina that I'd cook tomorrow night, since she'll be at swim lessons with Konnor till after 7.

I'm thinking grilled filets, boiled shrimp, salad (most likely in a bag) and green beans. I'm hoping for the same type of dessert as AC is having.

Ash Wednesday, so I think we are just ordering out veggie pizza.

We have dinner reservations for this coming Saturday. Honestly, I don't know why people get so hung up on celebrating Valentines on the exact day. We both work and don't really want to go out mid-week.

I'm still getting her some flowers, etc., tomorrow, but we are saving the night out for the weekend.

I'm making lemon peppered, jumbo shrimp on the griddle. Garlic buttered, mashed potatoes, and possibly grilled asparagus. I don't like the asparagus, but she does.

We did ours over the weekend. I made lobster rolls one night and filet for her and NY strip for me the other night along with farmers market brussel sprouts. It was tasty.

It's also Ash Wednesday which in the Catholic church is a holy day of observance. Fasting and abstinence is the observance for today. We will enjoy a nice meal together another day.

Since I've recently gotten into canning meat, I thought I might break this out for the special occasion.

I decided to save the Possum for our anniversary next week and opted for Sous-Vide Venison Wellington, instead.

Served with roasted rosemary potatoes, asparagus wrapped in crispy bacon, sweet corn on the cob and a glass (or two) of merlot.
