Default Exotic doe hunts

Just became a TBH sponsor so I want to do a reduced rate Exotic doe hunt. I have too many does and need to get rid of some of them. I'm offering 2 day semi guided hunts for $150 (normally $250) that includes lodging, the use of the cooler and the skining shed. The hunters cabin is brand new and is fully furnished so all you need to bring is your food, drinks and personal items. Kill fees are $300 for axis does, $400 for fallow does, $250 for Aoudad ewes and $200 for blackbuck does. Of course we also have trophy exotics available as well. As a bonus if you shoot a doe you can also shot 1 pig. The best way to book a hunt is to call me @

Thanks Dean

Thanks! I never understood why there is this fee and that fee? Why can't there just be one price?

When would be the best time to take a black buck doe? Interested in getting a hunt booked, just need to make sure I can squeeze it into my schedule

[QUOTE=mastercraftka;13141053]Thanks! I never understood why there is this fee and that fee? Why can't there just be one price?

Because if you don't kill anything, you still owe $150 for the hunt... at least that is how I understand it.

I can't speak for Dean but as far as my place....
I wanted my daily fee to cover my costs then a trophy fee when you shot something.
It protects both the hunter and the farm.
If you don't shoot anything you are only out the cost of hunting. If you see something you like you then pay for what you shoot.

Priced out the other way, you pay whether you shoot anything or not.
I didn't want anyone to ever feel like they didn't see what they wanted but still had to pay any way.

In the event you don't harvest your animal due to factors out of anyone's control you're not losing your ***** and the ranch still gets paid for your usage of their property.

That's how I see it.

Good deal right there.
I need to talk to the boss lady.
How doable would an Axis doe be with a bow?

To answer the questions above. Axis does are doable with a bow. I have both bow and rifle blinds at all 7 of the feeders, however axis are the most skiddish animal on the place.

If you take an axis doe your total cost for the hunt would be $450. $150 for the hunt fee +$300 for the kill fee. If you take another doe then you only owe the additional kill fee for that animal.

Buff is correct. The hunt fee is to cover my costs. If you don't shoot something then all you owe is the hunt fee.

Normal hunt fees are $250 for a 2 day hunt, so if you want to shoot a trophy exotic you can get a little discount on the daily fees now.

Hope that answers your questions.
Thanks Dean

Is a fee to cover your room & board plus a kill(success) fee really that complicated to understand? It's the best of both worlds - ranch is compensated for use of facilities regardless, and hunter is protected in the event that they don't see anything. No shot, no pay.

Really good deal for anyone looking to get some good meat and see some cool animals.

It's in favor of the hunter.
The alternative, used by many ranches, is "kill or no kill," and some folks get their feathers ruffled if they pay the one fee and don't get an opportunity.
this way if you go on a hunt and something weird happens and you don't get a shot for some reason, you're out the accommodations and not the kill fee.

I'd have to agree on axis being VERY skittish! However, on a high fence place where the hogs get hunted regularly, there's probably not a more difficult animal to get with a bow than a big ol hog... They kicked my tail this past weekend at Buff's old place!! Maybe I need to come whack 'em at your place... before the TBH crowd shows up and get's 'em all edumacated!

Hmmm.. I'll ping the warden tonight so see if she'll open up the purse strings for an axis hunt. Sure sounds like a great way to put meat in the freezer.

Right now the hogs are kinda dumb by hog standards so come on down and educate them. If you shoot a doe you get a hog free.

Sounds like a great deal and Buff, I LOVE the pic with the smoke pole. Took me several years to finally get a deer with mine. Almost as fun as a traditional bow... Almost. I appreciate that it appeared to be sidelock without any scope.
Not sure about your place, but Aoudad can be tough to get drawn on as well. Last one I shot I tried to draw 3 times before I was successful.
Best Wishes for your ranch.

Thanks Dry Bones. If you get the wind right, the hardest part may be getting a clear shot at an Aoudad because of the numbers at the feeders.

Big thanks for West and Jen for hunting with us this weekend. 3 Axis does and a Blackbuck doe taken (all with bows) but we still need to take some more does off of here. Still have some dates open in February and until March 18th then the reduced rate doe hunts will end. Also hsve a couple of real good Fallows, Aoudads and Blabkbuck available that you can take advantage of the reduced daily fees on. Give us a shout if you want to come hunting.
Thanks for looking.
