Default NuStar

Does anybody on TBH work for NuStar? I tested for the operator position in Texas City and just got a confirmation to move forward with the hiring process.

I mean reading online everyone has different things to say about the company. I was just seeing if any TBH members work there so I could get a good honest opinion on the place.

I have done several jobs for NuStar all over the country. Good folks to work with....
Most of the folks at their facilities are good folks. Never had a bad deal with them.

I feel the interview went great. They have to finish up with interviews they have tomorrow then they will be choosing candidates for employment.
Like I said tho I felt very confident about the interview.

I deal with them on a regular basis. Practice driving kawasaki side x sides. They run up and down the road on them all day long. I don’t exactly see anyone busting their tails there when I am making my rounds.

Good place to gain some experience while applying with some of the neighbors like Valero and Marathon.

Yes. Texas City. I work next door for Marathon. NuStar stores various products for us. Also, our marine docks are next to NuStar. We do a lot of pipeline transfers to and from NuStar.

League City. Stay away from anything north of League City. Lot of road work is about to begin around Seabrook. 146 will be a nightmare. Everyone will be taking 45.

League City around 96/League City pkwy area. Lots of new homes going up. And, if you need an apartment for a while they have the nicer apartments in the area.

League City has you close to work, great food, shopping, fitness facilities, and just far enough away from the plants. 30 min to Houston, less than 30 to Galveston, and 15 min or less to Kenah. And, ten min to Cabelas abd Academy

Anything around Bucees on 96 is good.

League City, Santa Fe, and Friendswood have good schools.
Santa Fe is building a nice new elementary school now.

But going contraflow was the good thing,I planned on 30minutes drive each way...home to office.

Not bad until there are turnarounds and shut downs. From Kemah to Seabrook is about to get really bad with the new highway 146 widening project. It is best to be south of that area.
