Had a few days off in the middle of the week, ran out to the ranch to visit Mom and check feeders, pull camera cards, do chores around the place.
In the kitchen making lunch, heard a noise in the living room. Got a flashlight, peeked under a bookshelf in the corner and thought, whoa, that’s a big rat! Then it turned around and the black&white tail told me what it really was. A baby skunk. It hasn’t sprayed yet, but I can’t foresee an outcome to this where it doesn’t. Local game warden said it’s his day off, but to try to herd it out the door with a box.
Y’all pray for me!
