Bucks that have not shed yet?

No antlers in Western Fannin. Does are looking plump.

I have seen bucks shed different times from year to year. I do not know why. Example; this year we had an early rut and the bucks were done shedding by January, which is way early for us. I have heard biologist say, antler shedding was dictated by the bucks' health. So that eludes to an individual bases on shedding, to some degree. I'm not sure I believe that, our deer are pretty healthy.
