Birds been acting strange. Called in a solo hen who never made a peep then called in a gobbler that never made one noise either. I was Just stretching and saw him behind me, couldn't swing around that much for a shot. Only heard one gobble at last light.Comment

The alarm went off awfully early this morning. Pretty chilly temps and windy as hell. Ended up being a hell of a hunt, left the popup as I figured it take off like a hot air balloon with the 25mph gusts and sit on the ground in a grape vines up brush pile. Had six jakes come into the spread and were all ran off by a broke bearded tom. He must of been a good sh^t talker because those jakes should have ganged up to spank his rear end but they didn't. Shot him at 6 yards.....Comment
