Just finished my 3rd season with Lollie (3.5 year old Deutsch Drahthaar). She has really grown into a great hunting companion and family dog. She had 8 duck hunts, 5 upland hunts, and many more days at the deer lease just rooting around with me. She has retrieved over 250 birds (ducks, geese, pheasant and quail) and pointed almost just as many. Many times we duck hunt one day and quail hunt the next and she didn't miss a beat going from one to the other. She really lives to hunt and her drive is not like any other dog I have owned. She has lots to work on this off season, which is fun in itself. Sure is fun to hunt with a dog.

I have Saide my 7 mo yellow in school. She has 2 more months to go and then she is home. Can't wait to work with her.
Good for you! It is fun to get them back and see what they have learned. Then you work on the things that you notice they struggle on. Patience and persistence.
